Just picked up the new Apple iPhone yesterday. As with the 770 I’ll be back with more comments soon, but initial impressions are below. It’s a very fun little thing!
- Screen is awesome
- Battery life isn’t great by regular phone standards, but decent compared to an iPod or smartphone
- The user interface is truly impressive. This is the closest anyone’s ever come to Minority Report in a real consumer product.
- Wifi works well, EDGE (cellular data) is OK for email but not great for anything else
- The Outlook sync functionality seems to be causing a lot of problems for users – it doesn’t work at all for me (causes Outlook to crash). One can only hope they’re working on a fix.
